Judge Dredd
Another week, another classic 90’s action film. This time,
Judge Dredd, the movie that killed Stallone’s career (possibly). This movie
came out two years after Demolition Man, a movie about the future that is much
better than this movie…about the future. It won’t be for another 17 years
before the character of Judge Dredd gets an actual movie worthy of his name.
Which is Dredd, starring Karl Urban, which I suggest you watch. This week’s
drinking game is a real winner, tiered for your pleasure. Join us as we talk
about THE LAW and Sylvester Stallone’s perfectly chiseled face.

Save the Last Dance
Save the Last Dance is a great song; it is one of my
favorite oldies. Save the Last Dance is also an average film featuring the
plainest white “star” they could find in 2001 money…a.k.a. Julia Stiles. No
relation to Ryan Stiles, the funny improviser from Whose Line is it Anyway.
Also unlike Whose Line, this movie features all the worst of the inner city
stereotypes that they could cram into a single film. Where as Whose Line, has
Wayne Brady…who is delightful. Anyway, come watch the story of one white woman’s
journey through the inner city. She comes face to face with her own privilege,
learns nothing in the process, and then gets into Juliard.

Armageddon
This movie is a disaster…about a disaster. If you haven’t
seen this movie in ten years, then prepare to have your nostalgia ruined.
Everyone remembers the good scenes, animal crackers and Aerosmith. No one
remembers that all of these scenes take forever to get anywhere. This two-and-a-half-hour
movie has ONE plot point. Nothing goes so wrong that they have to change their
plans. There’s a lot of forced tension, and it shows. You can’t take 2.5 hours to
do a “will they won’t they,” it just doesn’t work. BUT!! Everything about this
movie is PRO-AMERICA…and we at Bad Netflix, are always PRO AMERICA.
